Step into Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex in Egypt. Walk through the Hypostyle Hall with its huge columns and see the detailed hieroglyphics that tell stories of ancient Egypt. This temple was dedicated to Amun-Ra and was expanded over 2,000 years by different pharaohs. You can also see the Sacred Lake and the Avenue of Sphinxes.
Luxor Temple sits on the east bank of the Nile and is famous for its grand statues and obelisks. Built mainly by Amenhotep III and expanded by Ramses II, it was dedicated to the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. The temple was also used during the Opet Festival, and its carvings show pharaohs, rituals, and ceremonies.
